Best? Resume of 2011

With the economy still in bounce-back mode, it’s hard to say why this guy feels like it’s a good idea to pass his resume around like this… I’d like to assume it’s because he’s really so awesome at life and professionalism that even a crappy resume can’t hold him back from ruling the world.

Rainbow Cake in a Jar

In this simple recipe, a basic white cake is turned into a slew of bright colors, baked to perfection, then topped with a creamy white frosting.
Cakes baked in jars can be topped with traditional metal canning lids and stored in the fridge for up to five days.  They make a great treat to ship to someone, so long as you can ensure delivery to it’s final destination within 3 days. Of course, you don’t have to do anything special with your cake-in-a-jar. There’s something lively & different about serving personal-sized batched of cake in glass mason jars.

Hublot Big Bang Leopard Watch

One of Hublot's more noteworthy lady's line piece for 2011 is the Big Bang Leopard -- a new look for the 41mm Big Bang that is influenced by Hublot's appreciation of leopard print skin designs that exist in elsewhere in pieces such as one particular Rolex Daytona from a few years ago with a similar leopard print dial and strap.
Hublot takes the concept and applies it to their 41mm wide Big Bang collection watches. If are drawn to the look, the piece is actually rather cohesive. The strap is actually leopard print denim with a matching dial style. On the dial are 18k red gold hands and yellow diamond hour markers.
The case itself is 41mm wide and done in 18k red gold. A large size for many women, but small for many Hublot timepieces. Around the bezel are jewels means to compliments the leopard print. There you'll find a mix of smoked quartz, andalusites, and citrine stones -- all in baguette cuts. Inside the watch is an HUB4300 automatic chronograph movement.

The Bic Cristal dress

Annette Carey is a designer, that has been commissioned by Bic Cristal to create a special dress to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

The process of making the unusual dress was not only tough but time consuming. They worked up to 13 hours a day to get the dress ready. Sewing all the Bic pens perfectly on the dress took 640 hours.

Patek Philippe 5208 Grand Complication watch

Patek Philippe's most ambitious new item for 2011 is clearly the Reference 5208 Grand Complication watch. Building on a few platforms, they include a highly desirable trio of complication groups together in the Ref. 5208 making it a very choice piece this year. In platinum, the case is a generous 44mm wide - it is possible that gold versions will come in the years to come.
The dial design feels very contemporary by Patek Philippe standards. While sophisticated, in true Patek Philippe fashion they are able to include a wealth of information on the face without the dial looking cluttered or intimidating. The most cleverly integrated feature is the perpetual calendar which uses a link of window on the top of the dial to indicate the day, date, and month. Small windows in the chronograph subdials indicate the leap year as well as a day/night indicator. A moon phase indicator is built into the subsidiary seconds dial. An important element of the calendar system is that all the indicators instantly jump when they change as opposed to change slowly.

Nutella Esperienza Italia 150 project

Nutella has been part of European and North American families for years, so it was no surprise that when the Nutella Esperienza Italia 150 project was released, four different jar images were revealed in honor of the Nutella brand and its culture.
Designed by ARC’S in Italy, the four jar designs involved the arts, landscapes and history, with each portraying a very unique and colorful approach to Italy.
