The $203,150 Hermès Crocodile Birkin

On Dec. 6, an anonymous bidder decided to pay $203,150 for a red Hermès Crocodile Birkin with White Gold & Diamond Hardware sold by Heritage Auctions in Dallas. This transaction has broken the record for the sale of a handbag at auction.
Birkin bags are handmade treasures by Hermès. The bags are somewhat symbols of great wealth because they are not easily obtained by the public. The bags were named after English-born actress and singer Jane Birkin and can typically fetch a price of as low as $9,000 to as high as $150,000, according to reports.
The price of the Birkin increases depending on the material it is made from.

Wendy’s has unveiled the Foie Gras Burger in Japan

However, Wendy’s new luxury fast-food option isn’t available in America — you need to fly to the luxe Tokyo shopping district of Omotesando to experience their new culinary endeavor. The regular square beef patties are still on the menu, but they are joined by the foie gras burgers, which cost 1,280 yen ($16), and avocado and wasabi burgers (820 yen) as well as grilled chicken served with truffle and porcini mushroom sauce (920 yen). Wendy’s is hoping its exotic new menu will entice the sophisticated Japanese palate.
“We think the fast-food market here is ready for something different,” Ernest Higa, chief executive officer of Wendy’s Japan LLC, said in an interview at the restaurant’s opening.

Dodge Charger Redline by Mopar

Mopar is bringing a new 2012 Chrysler product to the Detroit auto show, the Dodge Charger Redline.
Unlike the Chrysler 200 Super S which is still a fairly tame family sedan, the Charger Redline is a performance minded beast of a four-door packing a ferocious 426 Hemi engine with a prodigious 590 horsepower on tap. This sedan is serious.
“Since the 1960s, the Mopar Brand has built a long history of adding power and performance to the Dodge Charger – and with the Redline, we Moparized the new Charger with modern-day performance and style while giving a nod to our storied past,” said Pietro Gorlier, president and CEO of Mopar. “With three kits, Mopar offers a tailored choice for every customer.”

Louis Vuitton Maroquinaris Zoologicae Art by Billie Achilleos

Created using Louis Vuitton leather goods, these fantasy animals are the work of the young British artist Billie Achilleos. Keeping alive the skills of a forgotten craft, Billie embodies the new generation of traditional artisans, forever inventing and creating.
These new critters were designed for the launch of Louis Vuitton’s Mon Monogram service for small leather goods.

Each animal highlights an element in the design of the products. The Armadillo was to highlight the soft yet durable quality of the leather. The Chameleon displays the variety of colour. The Grasshopper is constructed from products with zips and poppers that make satisfying noises like that of the musically gifted insect.
