Effie Trinket nail art

This Effie Trinket nail art was inspired the reaping scene in the new Hunger Games movie. The style is elegant and regal, maintaining the perky personality of Trinket. The nail art features deep fushia with very fine gold glitter detailing on the tips. The host of the cutepolish YouTube channel takes you through simple instructions to master this classy look. The best part is that there are no tricky tools involved.
The host begins by simply coating her nail in Big Spender by Essie, the fun fushia hue. Once finished, she then coats the corner of a triangular makeup sponge with Fairy Dust by China Glaze. She dabs the glitter onto the tip of each finger, creating a gradient of depth.

#6 Amanu by Odin

Musky with  various middle notes including Gardenia and Jasmine, Odin’s Amanu #6 has been a sort of obsession. Deep yet light enough to be worn daily by a man or a woman. The primitive ambiance of southern Mediterranean peaks combined with the ancient fertility of Anatolian soils brings forth a herbaceous blend of verdant galbanum and raw lentisque. The cortex of Amanu revolves around the woody rusticity of cedarleaf and the heady complexity of jasmine sambac. Rooting textures of amberwood, musk and live moss endow this earthy scent with a lush maturity.

Sophy Robson Nail Art

Sophy Robson has recently been posting up some amazing nail art images on her site. Clearly she has a gift for the craft, with not only an eye for color and what’s fashionable now, but also crafting designs that are meticulously applied and look great on the nail. Which is tricky as nails provide a very small canvas and they’re sitting at the end of a set of hands so while the design idea in your head may look amazing, once applied it can appear entirely different. This design was done for nail art devotee Katy Perry.
