Mercedes SLS AMG by Inden Design

Inden Design came up with their own upgrade package for the Mercedes SLS AMG.
It’s now obvious that tuning specialists have seriously outdone themselves when dealing with the SLS versions, but all these can particularly affect the balance that Mercedes imprinted to the car. Thus, the specialists at Inden have re-worked it in a more modest and smooth way.

They have added 51 HP to the stock 563 HP (and 650 Nm of torque) engine’s power, for a current output of 614 HP, thanks to the remapped ECU system and new sports exhaust with catalytic converters and manifolds. As visual upgrades, they’ve changed the stock wheels with new 10.5×20 ones, covered in 265/30-20 tires at the front and 295/30-20 at the rear.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it is to launch a roadster version of its SLS AMG performance car, releasing initial — disguised — images of the vehicle.
The SLS AMG Roadster, a non-identical twin of the ‘Gullwing’ SLS AMG Coupé which made its debut in late 2009, will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, and testing is already underway ahead of the market launch.
Mercedes-Benz says that the new model was designed in parallel with the SLS AMG Coupé and therefore shares many of its features, including the performance engine.
Like its gullwing-coupe counterpart, the open version of the top-of -the-line Mercedes is powered by a 571-horsepower V8 engine built by AMG.

The car can hit an electronically limited top speed of 317 km/h (197mph) and weighs only 2 kilograms more than the SLS AMG Coupé.
Its soft-top roof can be opened and closed at speeds of up to 50 km/h and has been designed for comfort inside, with a new production process aiming to cut wind noise by improving the join between the soft top and the glass.

As well as removing the gullwing doors, Mercedes-AMG has thickened the side sills of the vehicle in comparison to the Coupé, a decision which it said improves the rigidity of the car and reduces vibration.
Inside, the automaker has rearranged the speakers of the Bang&Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system, mounting them on a cross-member running behind the seats, as the parcel shelf of the coupé model is replaced by storage for the soft top.
Although Mercedes-Benz says its current models are prototypes (hence no badge), it looks as if the final version of the SLS AMG Roadster is pretty much complete.
It will be officially unveiled on September 13 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt (September 15-25) and will go on sale in the fall.

Lagonda luxury sedan

Taking on the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley is no mean feat. In fact few are up to the task – not even Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler. The latter has tried with limited success to turn a profit on the Maybach brand, but the latest reports indicate that it's preparing to take a different approach.
Because Daimler is used to building cars in large volumes, it has been negotiating with Aston Martin for several years now on a new partnership that could see the British automaker – which has more expertise in small-batch production – build the next generation of Maybachs. Production would, according to reports, take place at Aston Martin's headquarters at Gaydon, Warwickshire in England, pictured above.
What would Aston get in return? The technology – including chassis, engines and more – on which to base its relaunched Lagonda brand, which is part of the company's portfolio but has not been used in decades. The first Lagonda luxury sedan could be built alongside the next Maybach, followed by a high-end crossover/utility vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.
