Audemars Piguet celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary Royal Oak than creating a horological beast of a limited edition with a case wrapped in platinum and an openworked dial complete with an anthracite finish. The company stayed true to the watch's original dimensions of 39mm and crafted an oscillating weight made entirely of 22-carat gold. The watch is set for release next year and will be limited to 40 pieces.
