Illy temporary shop in Milan

This Illy temporary shop in Milan, Italy, features an innovative reconfigurable design that allows it to be adapted to different areas and dimensional constraints.
Designed by Caterina Tiazzoldi and her team, this Illy temporary shop for the Illy Cafe brand features a parametric design comprising modular 45-by-45-cm cubes—200 of them, to be exact. The cubes come together to form display areas over the walls and the ceiling and can be reconfigured according to different space requirements. In fact, there are over 3,000 different configurations that can be made from this modular design.

This cool design concept offers an eye-catching geometrical look, with the space turning “into a game where [the] user’s sight shifts from an object to another discovering the inside,” describes the Retail Design Blog.
