The Obliteration Room by artist Yayoi Kusama

The Obliteration Room is a fun and interactive art installation that specifically targets children. What began as a pristine white room filled with only white furniture such as a piano, table and chairs, was subsequently covered from ceiling to floor in colorful stickers.
Conceived by artist Yayoi Kusama, The Obliteration Room essentially transformed a traditional domestic space into a blank canvas. To create this installation, kids were give free range to cover every inch of every surface with stickers that were handed to them before entering the room. The result is an explosion of happy color that would delight even the hardest of hearts.
Part of Kusama’s Look Now, See Forever exhibition, The Obliteration Room is located at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art.
