The Mykonos Grand Hotel


The Mykonos Grand Hotel, a place built in symmetry and cohesion with nature, allowing one to bask in its superb sunlight and luxury.
Situated close to Mykonos town and Paradise Beach, on the Ayios Yiannis, it greets guests with two different restaurants, each of them displaying gorgeous seasonal meals and exotic tastes. The resort puts at guests’ disposal an array of suites, five kinds of them, among which we mention suites with outdoor barbecues and with or without private pools that can easily host the most squeamish of customers. Guests can also relax at the spa, squash and tennis courts, fitness center or do their customs at the stone amphitheater built for yoga sessions. The place is a real must-see and must-visit.

Showcasing everything from upholstered furniture, handmade cabinets, chairs and tables, mirrors, desks, seating, lighting and other accessories, the showroom is a tribute to Italian designer, and Promemoria founder, Romeo Sozzi.

The new first class cabin of Qantas’s A380





The first class cabin of Qantas’s A380 super-jumbos, designed by Marc Newson, looks astonishingly like the U.S.S. Enterprise in Star Trek, reports Daily Mail.
The interior includes LCD touch panels, leather seating, plants, sheepskin-covered full-length beds and more than 1,000 videos to choose from.
Each berth even has a dresser for storing clothes – naturally, pyjamas are provided and there are just 14 berths in the whole cabin.



The central area is provided for flyers to stretch their legs and sit down for a drink.
According to the Qantas website, the planes are being introduced progressively with the latest flight schedule being Sydney to Hong Kong beginning Jan. 15.
The Qantas planes currently operate between Los Angles and Sydney and Los Angles and Melbourne, among other international destinations.

Wendy’s has unveiled the Foie Gras Burger in Japan




However, Wendy’s new luxury fast-food option isn’t available in America — you need to fly to the luxe Tokyo shopping district of Omotesando to experience their new culinary endeavor. The regular square beef patties are still on the menu, but they are joined by the foie gras burgers, which cost 1,280 yen ($16), and avocado and wasabi burgers (820 yen) as well as grilled chicken served with truffle and porcini mushroom sauce (920 yen). Wendy’s is hoping its exotic new menu will entice the sophisticated Japanese palate.
“We think the fast-food market here is ready for something different,” Ernest Higa, chief executive officer of Wendy’s Japan LLC, said in an interview at the restaurant’s opening.

Michelin starred meals on Etihad Airways



Etihad Airways has hired 110 international chefs, some of whom have worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, to cook in its Diamond First Class cabins.
They are already working on flights to London, Sydney, Melbourne and Paris and will be introduced across all other First-class destinations by early next year.
The chefs work from a pantry, stocked with prime cuts of meat, sauces, par-cooked items, spices and freshly chopped vegetables along with specialized tools such as a a whisk and foamer.
They will work from a new first-class menu which includes between four and six meat or seafood dishes, four sauces and four side options, all prepared to order.
The chefs, who have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in 5-star restaurants and hotels, can also create custom dishes to suit individual tastes.

Maison Cailler customized chocolate box




Chocolate giant Nestlé has created a brand of luxury, bespoke chocolates that cater to consumers’ individual tastes and delivers the customized box within 48 hours.
The new brand will be sold under Maison Cailler and begins with a chocolate tasting where consumers rate their preferred flavors in an online questionnaire.
Within 48 hours, they’ll receive a luxury box-set of chocolate bonbons that have been selected according to their preferences.
After receiving their ‘tasting’ chocolates, customers will choose from samples that contain hints of milk, caramel, nut, fruit, flowers, vanilla and cocoa.
The chocolates are shaped to emulate the Moléson mountain in Switzerland.
Maison Cailler will launch at the beginning of 2012. The service will initially only be available in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

En-K de caviar


Luxury Parisian caviar purveyor Kaviari has launched small, portable tins of the delicacy for the traveling gourmand for whom caviar is an everyday, “dainty” snack.
En-K de caviar is a collection of six, 15 g Osetra caviar tins that come in different colors and a small serving spoon.
Osetra is one of the most expensive caviars on the market and comes from the Osetra sturgeon. It’s second only to the Beluga caviar as the most prized.
The En-K de caviar has been showcased in one of Paris’s oldest department stores Le Bon Marché and luxury five-star hotel Le Royal Monceau-Raffles. Price: €35.

The Residence Zanzibar




The Residence Zanzibar was designed by HBA / Hirsch Bedner Associates and is a villa complex situated in a remote corner of the spectacular Zanzibar Island, Tanzania, East Africa.  The resort has no less than 66 villas and their design is said to be inspired from the Swahili, Omani, British and Indian cultures present in Zanzibar.

Five expensive cars in Monaco pile-up



Monaco witnessed a pile-up of five really expensive cars. With hundreds of tourist watching in horror, this time around again the weapon of destruction was a £250,000 ($ 408,135) Bentley Azure. The Bentley crashed into a Mercedes, a Ferrari, a Porsche and an Aston Martin that to right in front of the famous Place du Casino! 
The first victim was a white Mercedes S Class worth £75,000 ($122,485) who was scraped badly at the side, as the Bentley proceeded on to ram into a £140,000 black ($228,625) Ferrari F430. The next two cars to be scraped were a £140,000 ($228,625) Aston Martin Rapide and a £80,000 ($130645) Porsche 911 that suffered damage at the front.
However more humiliation was staring at the face of the driver of the Bentley and her two co-passengers, as the doors of their convertible jammed. The entire cost of repairs is estimated at over £40,000 ($65,340) as the Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin and the Bentley would all need new front wings and bumpers, with added expense of door repairs for the Bentley.
