The world's most expensive dog

A coal baron living in northern China just spent $1.5 million to buy what is considered the world's most expensive dog, a red Tibetan Mastiff.
In any case, the 180-pound 11-month-old red Tibetan Mastiff known as Big Splash, or "Hong Dong" in Mandarin, just earned the title of the world's priciest pooch. The breed can grow to be 285 pounds, and according to the breeder, Big Splash is such a perfect specimen that the eyeball-popping price is justified. It is believed the breed descended from wolves 58,000 years ago.

the Ventura SPARC MGS watch

Although kinetically powered timepieces may not be anything new, the Ventura SPARC MGS watch takes that technology and puts a unique twist on it.
Instead of powering the spring to keep the mechanical movements going inside, this watch powers its LCD display and other digital pieces by harnessing the wearers movements.
The simplicity of its design seems to offset the rather complicated method in which the Ventura SPARC MGS watch is powered. Of course, its sleekness is what makes this timepiece even more covetable aside from its obvious eco-friendly quality.
Essentially, the wearer’s movements turn connecting gears within the Ventura SPARC MGS watch to repeatedly tension a spring (which is made visible). Once the spring is fully tensed, it powers a mini-generator that keeps everything running smoothly.

Jurgen Mayer h. architects: sunglasses for IC! berlin

Berlin based Jurgen Mayer H. Architects partners with IC! Berlin on a collection of sunglasses.
The aesthetic of the capsule collection is to reflect the asymetry of the human face with each side of asymmetric glasses which shift and change from one side of the frame to the other, a subtle answer to the asymmetry of human faces.
