The Chicken and Waffle Cupcake is a lethal combination of fried chicken, waffle and cupcake is the handiwork of Jessica the culinary temptress behind the blog The Novice Chef.
This pint-sized dessert starts out innocently enough with a moist Maple Cinnamon Scented Cupcake accented with a healthy piping of Maple buttercream. Already a sumptuous bite-sized treat at this stage, Jessica takes this petite cake to a whole new and unreasonable level of decadence by topping the innocently sweet cupcake with a skewered piece of fried chicken and a piece of waffle. You’d think this would be the finale, but Jessica comes in with one last flourish but dousing the whole Chicken and Waffle Cupcake with maple syrup for good measure.
