TAG Heuer Limited Edition, Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph watch

TAG Heuer celebrates the 100th anniversary of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” by introducing the official watch of the Indy 500: the TAG Heuer Limited Edition, Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph watch.
The Limited Edition Chronograph showcases a handsome grey dial which is modeled on the famed “Yard of Bricks” start/finish line of the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, distinguished by a printed “INDY 500″ logo inside the counter at the 6 o’clock marking. The exquisite watch also features a distinctive case back which marks the 100 year anniversary of the renowned race.
The Tag Heuer limited edition Chronograph sports a design which is inspired by a racecar’s dashboard, while the 44 mm dial features three counters: a small second at 3 o’clock, a chronograph minutes counter with double hands at 9 o’clock, and a 1/10th of second counter at 6 o’clock. The date window, which is positioned at 12 o’clock, is flanked by hand-applied indexes, as well as luminescent hands and markers for optimum readability.
Additional details include the timepiece’s stunning fixed polished bezel outfitted with a tachymeter scale in black and “INDY 500″ in red, and a fine-brushed, 44mm steel case fitted with scratch resistant sapphire crystal.
As a fitting tribute to the 100th anniversary celebration of the world’s largest single-day spectator sporting event, the Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph will be available in the limited quantity of 1000 pieces. This unique timepiece which is water resistant to 200-meters will be offered with a choice of a casual black rubber strap or polished steel bracelet – priced approximately at $1650.
Adding to the excitement of the racing event, the TAG Heuer Limited Edition Indy 500 Centennial Chronograph was presented to the winner of the Indy 500 on Sunday, May 29, 2011.
